News Flash: Jaipur UDH rules Mobile towers can’t come up on schools, hospitals
The urban development and housing (UDH) department of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India has revoked permissions to cell tower companies to install cell phone towers in schools, hospitals, parks and playgrounds. In doing so, the UDH Jaipur has upheld the high court order putting a ban on installation of mobile towers on schools and hospitals. The department will not allow erecting towers on schools, hospitals and any other buildings on which the stay has been given by court.
This is not the first and shall not be the last instance of such a thing happening. However it is key that as citizens who are aware of the risks of cell phone radiation, we take note of such trangressions happening in our neighbourhoods, schools, hospitals and RWAs – and take a stand.
If its the high court which is out banning presence of cell towers on schools and hospitals – there is a reason to it. An inconvenient truth perhaps? The Jaipur high court has been one of the most active benches in questioning the impact of EMF Radiation on residents and children.
